What to do now...

So you got engaged over the holiday, went to the bridal shows in early January.   Now what?  My suggestion is to set a budget.  This way you can manage expectations of everyone involved.   Here is a budget worksheet from Richmond Wedding Guide.  

  

Just FYI....all the vendors you meet with will ask about your budget....so why not just get the not fun part of planning a wedding finished in the beginning of the adventure.  My next suggestion is to talk with your fiancée and decide what is the "it" item for each of you. ......is "it" the dress or tuxedo, the food and beverage, the band or DJ.......whatever "it" is I would work on those items next.  Here is another worksheet from our friends at the Richmond Wedding Guide.
